Triste Magazine is centred around a core of original interviews with musicians of a certain Triste-friendly sensibility. Sometimes the interviews are used as a basis for an article, which fleshes out the story of the artist; sometimes the interview is reported in a simple question and answer format; other times the interview might focus around a particular album. In each case a lot of good material cannot be used due to the limits of space found in a printed magazine. The Triste Archive use the flexibility of the online storage system to contain full transcriptions of the interviews. This allows a lot of interesting views and anecdotes to emerge, which may not have been possible to have included in the original articles, and in some cases to include links to further relevant information.
